CHIPPA UNITED AND POLOKWANE CITY PLAY TO GOALLESS DRAW
Chippa United and Polokwane City played to a 0-0 draw in an Absa Premiership clash at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday evening.
In search of their first win of the season, Chilli Boys head coach Clinton Larsen named an attacking line-up, but despite their best efforts on the night, they were unable to find the back of the net against an ever-improving Rise and Shine outfit.
Chippa duly fall down to 13th place on the log standings, a mere point above the relegation zone which is currently occupied by AmaZulu and Stellenbosch FC.
Polokwane fall to fifth, three points behind league leaders Kaizer Chiefs, following wins for Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United on an action-packed evening in South Africa's top division.
Chippa next face Bloemfontein Celtic on home soil next month, while Polokwane turn their attention back to the MTN8 competition this weekend.
